ABSTRACT
The secretary occupies a sensitive position of an organization and organizes the vital elements needed for an efficient and effective service operation. The Information Communication Technology (ICT) is a contemporary force that is earnestly driving the future of administrative works viz a viz secretarial tasks. This study was therefore undertaken to examine the contemporary changing roles of the secretary in the ICT era with special reference to the problems and prospects. The study adopted the survey method, where three banks were selected for the study. From a population of 65, a sample size of six respondents participated in the study. The study findings reveals that secretarial duties have been more easy with the use of ICT and the beneficiaries are the secretaries and their respective organization.
